Inside LinkedIn’s 200 Million Userbase [infographic]

Topics:

Professional networking site LinkedIn has a lot to celebrate. The site now has the prestigious honor of hosting over 200 million users. To mark the occasion, LinkedIn has released an infographic detailing the site’s achievement.

Started in 2002, LinkedIn gives professionals a place to highlight their career objectives, accomplishments and goals. The site has developed into a go-to destination for some of the biggest companies on the planet. This is far better news than what happened in June of 2012, when hackers gained access to one of the site’s servers, containing millions of user passwords. The company has since pledged to heighten their security and the pledge seems to have eased user confidence. At this rate, there are two new members joining every second.

In March of 2011, LinkedIn boasted 100 million users. That means that the site has doubled its users in under two years. That’s definitely not an accomplishment to take lightly. 74 million of their users are based in the U.S., while 11 million live in the UK.

Check out the infographic below for more revelations on LinkedIn’s 200 million user milestone.
