An astounding 87 percent of workers in the U.S. feel they are overworking. According to a survey conducted by Wrike, it doesn’t matter if you’re a business owner or a freelancer, most respondents to the survey are working too much.
The results show that despite feeling overworked, 42 percent of those surveyed still feel satisfied with their work/life balance. The major contributor to the satisfaction seems to be attributed to being a part of a team. It turns out that camaraderie can go a long way in keeping 50.8 percent of those feeling overworked still happy with their job.
Another way to help an overworked employee feel more satisfied with their job is to give them ownership of a project. Over 76 percent of employees, when asked, basically indicated that having something that belonged to them and relied upon their abilities would increase their efficiency.
