LinkedIn recently compiled the latest version of its annual Top 10 Overused Professional Buzzwords rankings, which draw on the social networking site’s 187 million users. Does your resume contain one of these tired descriptors?

The following are the rank-ordered buzzwords for U.S. profiles:

1. Creative
2. Organizational
3. Effective
4. Motivated
5. Extensive experience
6. Track record
7. Innovative
8. Responsible
9. Analytical
10. Problem solving

The top three — “creative,” “organizational” and “effective” — also topped last year’s list. Buzzwords from 2011 that didn’t make this year’s edition include “communication skills” and “dynamic.” And “extensive experience,” which held the No. 1 position in 2010, dropped all the way to No. 5.
