We’re excited to announce our first of multiple dynamic keynote speakers for Compference19. 

Meggie Palmer is an internationally renowned diversity and inclusion speaker, journalist and entrepreneur. A high energy leader, facilitator and inspirational speaker, Meggie is on a mission to close the gender pay gap.  

Meggie founded the PepTalkHer app, which uses artificial intelligence to help women with confidence and negotiation skills in order to close the gender pay gap. Her team runs corporate training programs for multiple organizations, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Meggie’s company has helped companies like including Contently, TechCrunch, Revlon, Thinx and more, training them in confidence, bias negotiation and how to foster an inclusive workplace. 

She also writes about gender and diversity for Vogue, Marie Claire and Forbes and has worked internationally as a foreign correspondent, producer and director in Syria, Zimbabwe, Italy, the Philippines and beyond. She’s filed for global broadcasters including BBC World News, CNBC, SBS Dateline, Channel 7, Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.

As a journalist, she has earned multiple awards including a Walkley Award for Excellence in Journalism, a New York Festival TV & Film Award, a UN Media Award and was named Queensland Young Journalist of the Year.

In 2017, Meggie travelled to Damascus with Dateline NBC to produce a world exclusive interview with Bashar Al Assad, which was nominated for a 2017 Logie Award for Excellence in Journalism. Meggie’s dodged falling buildings in Nepal during the 2015 earthquake, investigated the justice system for teenagers sent to Rikers Island in New York and has uncovered corruption and money laundering in Papua New Guinea.

Her infectious positivity engenders motivation and confidence among audiences large and small – from C-level executives to young millennials. She regularly speaks at companies and conferences about her mission to help companies mind the gap(s), empower women and retain talent.
