In a recent survey conducted by TheLadders that polled 1,000 Americans 18 years of age and older, it was found that more working professionals are willing to forgo the opportunity to maximize their online job search to prevent being “found out” by their employers. As a matter of fact, the survey unveiled that “more than half (55 percent) surveyed say when searching online, keeping their resume private from their peers is more important than maximizing its exposure,” and 35 percent of participants stated that they would remove their posted resume if a coworker saw it online.
