In a tight job market and uncertain economic times, new graduates are often grateful for any job, whether it’s one they enjoy or not. In order to help grads find a career they’ll love, folks at CareerBliss, a site focused on searches and reviews of companies known for employee satisfaction, created a list of the happiest jobs for the class of 2014.

According to a recent article in Forbes, CareerBliss based their selections on elements that include: an individual’s manager and coworkers, encouragement and rewards received, opportunities for professional growth, company environment and culture, workflow, and day-to-day responsibilities.
There’s a lot of STEM and technology on the list, which starts with these five jobs:
1. Java Developer

2. Embedded Software Engineer

3. .NET Developer
A .NET Developer typically writes code to generate web pages and access databases and business logic servers. They write, modify, and debug software for web sites. 4. Medical Technologist
Medical technologists work on the side of the hospital that isn’t commonly seen by patients. They run tests, process samples, and provide information about patients’ conditions to doctors. 5. Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer
A quality assurance engineer creates tests to find any problems with software before the product is launched. They identify and analyze any bugs found during testing and document them.
