According to a recent survey that GreenJobInterview conducted with roughly 250 companies (varying in size), 47 percent of surveyed brands have conducted virtual interviews in the past, with 96 percent planning to use virtual interviewing in the future. Additionally, more companies are looking to become cost-efficient, and they’re doing so by conducting more teleconferences and eliminating time-consuming and expensive business trips.

Barry Leffew, vice president of Adobe’s public sector, indicated in his interview with FCW.com that, “the number of registered users for Defense Connect Online, a web conferencing and real-time internal collaboration platform that Adobe and Carahsoft Technology provide for DOD, has increased from 600,000 to more than 840,000 in the last year alone.” It’s time that professionals learned the basics of looking presentable on-camera for their virtual interviews and teleconferences in order to wow their audience in a good way – not an “oh my goodness, what’s that in the background” kind of way.
