For those of us who are old enough to remember the golden age of Angela and Tony, this WorldWideLearn infographic on managers might not deliver the 80’s nostalgia you exactly had in mind. However, it might deliver a different type of nostalgia.
Are you ready for this? An astounding 40 percent of workers believe that their boss is a slacker and only 36 percent of them are happy. Over 30 percent of them feel unappreciated and uninspired.
If the workers polled had a better relationship with their boss, then 70 percent of them would be happier at work. Sixty percent of them said they would be more productive. Most surprising of all is that 65 percent said they would rather have a better boss than a pay raise. That is how important good management is.
