How much do Romney and Obama supporters typically earn? PayScale surveyed its users and found there there is a very specific pay range where the two candidates trade the lead: $75,000 – $100,000 per year.
From under $25,000 per year to around $75,000, Obama has a strong lead, but as soon as wages move towards six figures, Romney's favored and keeps his margin into the $200,000 per year or more category.
"Romney's proposed tax plan offers more breaks for upper and upper-middle class people so it's no suprise that that group supports him," says Katie Bardaro, PayScale's lead analyst.
