The Workplace Isn’t Fair: Here’s How to Change It

The playing field in the workplace is uneven. Not everyone is getting the same opportunities and access to higher pay and career advancement. Advocating for yourself can have a greater impact than just your own career and salary. We’ll talk about how so that we start to see real progress in pay equity and representation in leadership.

In this session, you will get specific advice on not only negotiating for yourself but how to impact the culture at your organization for the better so that women, people of color and other underrepresented workers have a smoother path. Learn how to have the salary conversation with your employer and gain confidence in negotiating your worth. Discover how to position yourself for promotion. And, understand how to amplify your efforts so the benefit is long-lasting.

This event, hosted by PayScale and Apptio, is for anyone looking to better understand some of the hurdles women and people of color face in the workplace when negotiating pay and career growth and looking for tactics on how to either navigate those or be an ally.
