The final countdown to Compference18 has begun. We’re just a couple of days from the only modern compensation event happening in Orlando, and we are seriously excited.
Whether it’s your first, second or third time attending Compference, we’re here to help you make the most of your Compference experience and your time in Orlando with our best advice and tips for getting around the area.
It’s Gonna Be Hot. And a Little Rainy
First and foremost, if you haven’t checked the weather already you should know that it’s going to be a little warm in Orlando. Temperatures during Tuesday and Wednesday’s events will hover around 92, so make sure you pack cooler clothes. With that said, indoor conference temperatures tend to run on the cool side, so it wouldn’t hurt to bring a light jacket or sweater during indoor conference activities. Light rain is also in the forecast, so bring something durable just in case.
Attend Sessions That You Care About
There are plenty of keynotes throughout each day of Compference, but we also provide sessions between keynotes. If you haven’t already used the Swoogo app to pick your sessions, we recommend doing a little research beforehand so you can get a sense of what sessions will be the most valuable for you and your compensation needs.
Enjoy The Venue Location
Orlando is a great setting to host a conference, and we think you’ll agree. With the hotel and conference venue practically inside Disneyworld, we know your stay will be magical to say the least. Take a look at some of our recommendations for local bars, restaurants and things to do in the area while you’re here.
Attend Our Compference Parties
Each day of Compference wraps up with a celebration that is open to each and every Compference attendee. Join us for free drinks, bites, and plenty of networking just a few steps from the Compference venue. These parties are a great way to unwind and network with other compensation and HR professionals. They also provide an opportunity to chat with PayScalers and get to know us and our products.
