Work-from-home jobs don’t have to be low-paying, customer service gigs. Employers now offer telecommuting options for every career level and salary range.

The number of people working from home is on the rise. Research from Global Workplace Analytics from June 2017 showed that 20-25 percent of the workforce now occasionally works from home. Telecommuting among non-self-employed workers increased by 115 percent from 2005 to 2015. Over 3 million American employees now work from home at least half the time.

FlexJobs recently released a list of work-from-home jobs that pay high salaries. Of course, not every employer will allow people in these occupations to telecommute. But it’s worth taking a look, before you decide your job is incompatible with remote work.

High-Paying Work-From-Home Jobs:

1. Senior Business Analyst

Senior business analysts earn an average salary of $82,406, according to PayScale data. Individuals with IT consulting backgrounds tend toward the higher end of the earnings range. Senior business analysts handle a myriad of complex issues. They should have the ability to quickly interpret data as well as a company’s strengths and weaknesses. These professionals work to design and implement processes and procedures that address these needs along the guidelines and restrictions provided by the company. Given the complexity of the job, and the high level of skills these professionals need to possess, it’s no wonder that senior business analysts receive a relatively high salary.

2. Structural and Bridge Engineer Senior

Senior structural engineers earn between $77,000 and $134,000 per year, according to PayScale data, but median earnings hover around $93,000 per year.
