Does your gender, salary, job title, education, or industry influence your political choices? PayScale surveyed 4,386 users between August 5, 2016 and August 16, 2016 to see how they’re casting their vote. Keep an eye on our collection of election stats and infographics–which we’ll update weekly–and be sure to get out and vote!
Of 4,386 respondents surveyed between August 5 and August 16, 38 percent reported being registered Democrats, 31 percent reported being registered Republicans, and 31 percent reported being Independent. We intend to update this data on a weekly basis leading up to November 2.
This interactive graph shows how PayScale users intend to vote overall and by party affiliation.
Interesting takeaways:
- Registered Democrats support Clinton (74 percent) at a higher rate than registered Republicans support Trump (65 percent).
- Republicans are much more likely to be undecided (22 percent) than Democrats (13 percent).
- Independent voters are roughly 2.5 times more likely to support Clinton or a third-party candidate than Trump.
