If you look at the recent headlines for career news, you’ll find article after article about how coding is a promising profession. According to PayScale’s 2013-2014 College Salary Report, computer engineering and computer science ranked in the top ten for majors that pay you back, with both promising six-figure careers and long-term job security.
Coding allows kids to also explore the fun side of computers – building, playing, and communicating with them. At its most basic and interesting level, programming is the equivalent of communicating with a computer and making it do exactly what you want it to do.
