Top 10 Cities For Recent Grads Looking For Work

You got your degree and enjoyed your last summer vacation. Now you want a job, but where should you go?

Not all places are created equal in the job market, so if you want to move from your current location to another part of the country, be smart about it.

The Atlantic recently published “The Best U.S. Metros for Recent College Grads Looking for Work” and their analysis included the number of quality entry level job openings and average starting salary.

Coming in first, by some margin, was the San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara metropolitan area, aka Silicon Valley. Popular large metropolitan areas like New York, Los Angeles and Chicago didn’t make the list and aren’t as promising destinations as they once were, The Atlantic said.

The worse metro areas to find work for college grads are Las Vegas, Riverside, Calif., Memphis, New Orleans and San Antonio.
