A woman’s wedding day is supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life but the months leading up to that day can be the most stressful. Picking a date, sending out invitations, booking the venue, hiring a caterer; you could have a full-time staff and not get it all done. Then, there’s the biggest decision of them all, choosing the right wedding dress.
Bridal gown designer Randy Fenoli knows how important it is pick the perfect dress, so he’s made a career out of helping women do just that and on national TV.
Randy is the star of the TLC series Randy to the Rescue. He travels the United States with a big rig full of wedding gowns from the world’s top designers. At each stop, his crew sets up a pop-up gown salon for all the local brides-to-be. Then, he selects a few very special ladies for a full Randy make-over. He works one-on-one with the bride and her often opinionated family members to help her locate the gown that will make her feel extra special on the big day. Then, hairstylist Lindsay Yamashita takes over with suggestions for a fitting cutting, color and style. Finally, make-up artist Raychel Wade steps in to create a signature look that is both polished and pretty. 
The secret to Randy’s success is that he doesn’t push his customers to be something they’re not just because it’s a wedding. When an eco-conscious, outdoorsy girl comes in for a fitting, Randy knows to avoid the Cinderella ball gown. Instead, he puts her in a loose, flowing gown cinched with a burlap belt and a sunflower from the garden. Randy helped a Native American bride pay homage to her roots by adding pieces from an Indian headdress to her pink, ruffled gown.
Though Randy is happily settled into his career now, it didn’t happen overnight. He was born and raised on a cattle ranch and sewed his first dress at the age of nine. Before becoming a full-time designer, he worked as a gas station manager, a waiter, and a personal chef. The big turning point in his life was when he won a bridal contest while studying at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
“The day after graduation, I started designing wedding gowns under my own name for The Diamond Collection and bridesmaids dresses for Dessy Creations,” says Randy. “I feel that a wedding gown is the most important gown a woman will ever wear and am happy to be a part of this special moment in her life.”
