Topics:

The last thing a business owner wants to do is alienate his or her customer base. This Direct Marketing News infographic suggests some surefire ways to reach customers in a positive way.

Did you know that according to a recent survey, 75 percent of participants said they hold a grudge against companies that bombard them with unwanted emails? That doesn’t mean they’re unwilling to provide helpful information if a brand handles their marketing in a respectful way, though. Twenty-eight percent of participants are willing to give their name to a company, while 37 percent are willing to provide their age and 38 percent are even willing to list their gender.

Two things you’ll want to avoid to prevent alienating your customers are confusing their gender and misspelling their name. Next to bombarding them with emails, these were two of the main button-pushers when it comes to frustration.

Check out the infographic below for more revelations on sending a good impression.
