If you are in need of some inspiration, the facts in this infographic should do the trick. Did you know that in 1985, Steve Jobs was fired by Apple? The ensuing years saw the company lose revenue in spades to the PC and Windows operating system. It wasn’t until 1997, when Apple decided to hire Steve Jobs again, that it hit its stride and became the go-to company for innovation and design.

The below infographic takes a look at four companies that came back to life after almost dying. For Apple, it was Jobs’ decision to scale back the company’s product line. Instead of offering 15 products, the company only offered four, and with those four, they focused on fine-tuning them with perfection.

Another company that almost lost everything is Old Spice. The only thing that saved them was a smart marketing move. Their product is 73 years old and found itself aging along with the majority of its customers. In an effort to market itself to a younger audience, they came up with “The Man Your Man Should Smell Like” ad campaign, starring the handsome and suave Isaiah Mustafa. It was immensely successful and put the company back on the map.

Check out the infographic below for more revelations on companies that came back to life after almost dying.
