Strategies for Sleeping at Work [infographic]

Topics:

The good people at Online Clock have focused on helping others wake up and get to work on time, but now they’ve turned their attention to those sleepy moments while you’re at work. They shared some of their favorite sneaky tips for getting some rest on the down low, right under your boss’s nose.

“Power Outage,” for example, is the name of the sleep maneuver where you lay out a comfy bed right under your desk. Workers aren’t likely to notice you when they walk by, and if they do, just tell them you were checking the power source for your computer. If that doesn’t work, try the “Avid Reader.” All this one requires is a large book. You can sleep behind it without judgment. After all, everyone will think you’re smart and intriguing for being so engrossed in a book that you don’t even notice when people talk to you.

The “Cut & Paste” requires very little effort. Simply cut out some eyes from a magazine, or better yet, print a photo of yourself bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, and use the eyes from that photo. You can tape them right over your real eyes while you catch some much-needed Z’s.
