The modern office is far different than the workplaces our parents used, and this infographic by LinkedIn reveals features today’s workers demand and ones they’d rather see disappear.
Tape recorders, fax machines and Rolodex files are just some of the office fixtures that survey respondents predict will be extinct in the next five years due to modern technology. Two other workplace traditions that were also categorized as “endangered species” were standard work hours and desk phones.
Employees were also asked about the dream features they’d want in a modern office. Quiet napping spaces, offices with abundant natural sunlight, heat-generating chairs, ping pong tables and a room with punching bags all made the cut.
