The Stats on Social Media Recruiting [infographic]


Companies are increasingly embracing social media recruiting, and this infographic from shows how jobseekers can leverage this phenomenon to land their next gig. Employers are projected to recruit for some 80 percent of job openings via social media in 2012, and a whopping 98 percent of recruiters report that they turn to LinkedIn to find and contact top candidates.

The infographic also reveals that the average profile gets viewed for just 5.7 seconds; what's more, people spend most of this time studying the candidate's profile photo and job title. To better your chances of making a good impression, spend time optimizing these areas of your profile so that they reflect your personal brand.
